Cartoon Boy Speed Sculpt

I wanted to have a go at making a stylized kid. It was a cool change of pace. Less about detail and more about overall shape. Had to make sure everything was rounded and smooth.

Had to make the Hair Red. Gota Represent!

Spock Revisited

Wanted to go back to an older sculpt I did and add some stuff with some of the techniques that I have learned along the way... And had a go at some basic poly paint just for kicks...

Featherless Vulture Speed Sculpt WIP

For some reason sculpting a naked Vulture sounded really appealing... Why? You can't answer these questions.... Not too much time to go into details, just working out the general shape so far. Going to go in either tonight or tomorrow and add folds in the skin, as well as finish the head.

11 Second Club Entree - Blocking (June)

Just wanted to post my progress on my 11 Second Club Entree for this month:

Finishing up my blocking. The end part will have the character flopping down onto a couch holding a game controller. On "one" he will look over and stare menacingly at the person hes playing with.

Don't think I will do much for the background or props or anything. Mostly want to just work on animation. I have the CG society stuff to do for modeling / texturing / lighting. Just waiting for the V-Ray license to come.

 UPDATE

I didn't quite finish my entree:

But here is what did get finished!

CG Society Competition

Like I said in my previous post, I'm going to be entering the CG Society Competition, at least trying to.

It's  going to be a bit of a challenge learning V-Ray, but its something that I think will be fun.

Heres my WIP link, you can take a look at this to see my progression:

Going to take this as a chance to learn a lot of things I've been meaning to learn and put it to a real use. Both in zbrush mappings, fur, lighting, and some texture work. It should prove to be interesting to say the least.

Whats Up

I'm thinking of participating in the 11 second club: http://www.11secondclub.com/. I'd like to try out some more animation that's not school related.

I may also participate in: http://challenge.cgsociety.org/vray. It would require that I learn a little about Vue, but that's something that's good. Its pretty open ended, so I can do just about anything, which is good and bad. I feel like I need more structure rather than just floating around doing whatever. With an end goal more tings get done and are FINISHED, not just something that's getting messed around with, but am never really happy with.

But first I'd like to take a stab at a few passes at the 11 second club....
