Polar Bear Retopology
Ughhh... Now I remember why no one will ever retopologize inside Zbrush. Haven't done that in ages and it hurts!
Here's just a quicky of something I wanted to do as a short project. Just finished retopologizing and now need to go back and re-add some of the lost detail and add fur + pose stuff.

Further Progress. Probably going to call it quits on this character and move onto something new now. Wish I could make the folds in the clothing more intense and visible. I need to work on that more... The whole character still looks a little cartoon-like:

A small update on my character I started before:
Had a few wonky things going on with the older proportions. The clothes right now seem very THICK, making him look very bottom heavy right now. I'll have to take another look into that.

Anatomy Jamming
Taking some time to revisit my understanding of anatomy. Going to spend the next week focusing a lot on both male and female anatomy, doing different body types hopefully as well.
To start it off:
One big problem I noticed in both of my goes was that I make the heads too small. The average person is about 7 heads tall. These characters are much more than that. Also in the second go I played around with where the knee and elbow were. The more I do this the leaps and bounds I progress. Have to keep up with the basics before I get caught up in the mess of trying to add to everything.

Mermaid Blocking
Haven't posted in a bit. Been busy with a few things. Recently been working on some stuff for a Indie Game Project. Can take a look at them here: http://www.indiedb.com/games/time-lost. Working on some character things for them.
Wanted to start another character that I will go to completion with. Had a desire to make a mermaid, so I started blocking out a character:
Will be an interesting project where I get to work a lot with texture on the body with scales and the transition from fish to human.
